About Juliet

Lancashire born and bred, I’m now proud to call myself an adoptive Swindonian as I have lived in this corner of north east Wiltshire since 1992. I have a Masters Degree in French and Spanish Language and Literature from Cambridge University, and I’m a Certified Professional Coactive Coach.

I started to take myself seriously as a writer in 2007, and haven’t looked back. I’ve had a prize-winning short story published in Writing Magazine, another shortlisted for the Posara Prize, articles and letters published in The Lady, Junior Magazine and Women and Golf, and in 2009 I achieved my secret life ambition of being paid to write.

Family-wise I’m married with a teenage son and a tweenage daughter, and I divide my time between being a Mum, writing articles for Swindon Link Magazine, leading journal writing workshops, thinking about my next journal-writing book, scribbling short stories and novel ideas, blogging, trying hard to get my golf handicap down, and of course writing in my journal.

  5. Juliet, I have been following your blog for only a short time but want to nominate you for the Liebster Award. If you would like to participate, please follow the link back to my blog: http://wp.me/p50b6t-b2. Congratulations and Happy Blogging!
